Who are we?

Our membersare women from all backgrounds who seek to create a self-led organisation to gain ownership of our own destiny.

WSSAG is a group where women can come and meet and learn from one another and share experiences with total confidence, also making friends and connections.

What do we do?

We are a lobbying, advocacy and research group which works with and for refugee women and their families in order to bring about positive changes in the refugee system and to enhance the ability to rebuild lives.

We believe that through the provision of purposeful training and by providing opportunities for refugee women to participate in national and international forums we can empower refugee women to have control of their own destiny.

We are committed to campaigning on women’s asylum issues, to promote positive opportunities, social cohesion, build confidence and self-esteem, and to enhance active citizenship.

We empower and support women seeking sanctuary in Wales to voice their needs and represent themselves at strategic and policy making levels.

WSSAG is committed to help women run their own anti-deportation campaigns.
