New guide launched to help service providers connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
The Co-Creating Healthy Change Project at Diverse Cymru was set up in May 2013 to bring together people from diverse communities in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to enable and encourage them to have their say on health, well-being and social care services.
The project is now coming towards an end and this guide was produced using the experiences of the people who have attended over the four years of forums and group meetings.
Co-production seems to be finally catching on, especially now we have the Social Services and Well-being Act (Wales) 2014 which insists public health bodies must do more to engage with their users.
We hope this piece of work will guide them in the best ways to reach people from diverse backgrounds, whose voices are often not heard.
