Let’s Talk Research 




Two free research festivals are taking place this summer by Health and care Research in Wales.

Did you know that research is part of everyday life?

You are invited to #TalkResearch this summer to discover your role in health and care Research in Wales.

This year’s speaker is Dr Matt Morgan who will talk to about research from the brink of life. He works at the critical care unit at University Hospital of Wales.

Young Disabled Persons Political Skills Day Event

Are you a disabled young person aged 12-30? A professional who supports disabled children and young people in their day-to-day work? Or otherwise interested in this topic?

To celebrate UN World Youth Skills Day and the skills of young people with disabilities in Wales, our three organisations – Leonard Cheshire Cymru, Children in Wales and Whizzkidz are hosting an all-day event sponsored by Mark Isherwood, AM.


At this event you can:

  • Participate in a young disabled persons’ ‘Question Time’ and watch a drama performance
  • Raise awareness of young disabled people’s skills, and shape Wales’ future
  • Find out about projects to help you to get skills for work
  • Find out about help for persons with disabilities at University, and in the work place
  • Make new friends and have fun

Cardiff Third Sector Equality and Human Rights Network meeting

Have your say on benefits, in-work poverty and pension poverty


This free event focuses on the experiences of people facing inequality and any solutions people may have.  The theme of the event is benefits,in-work poverty and pension poverty.



At the event you’ll have the chance:

  • to discuss your experiences of benefits, in-work poverty and pension poverty, as well as the experiences of diverse people you know or represent
  • to network with other organisations and diverse individuals

Community groups and third sector organisations will also have a chance to let people know about their events and work.
